  I hope the owner reads this. The monkey bread is lonely it could use a dip :) The service was great. The pizza was fabulous. What more could you ask for. The monkey bread is to die for. I was happy when they kept bringing it out. We had to wait a little bit for them to make more. However that's a good sign. It is very delicious.

  I have been an Aver's customer since they opened their first location and have enjoyed their pizza for many years as a carryout customer. However, our first visit to the buffet in their new location was very disappointing. Space- It's as if the designer of the space had never eaten in a buffet and they chose "style" over an actual pleasant user experience. Weird layout, uncomfortable booths, wobbly tables and inconvenient access to the food. Customer service- After a confusing moment where the host acknowledged us and then oddly ignored us till we asked if we could sit down, our server was polite, but incorrectly told us that soft drinks were included in the price. When we questioned the charges, he indicated the prices were posted on the wall. (They were on a wrinkled piece of printer paper taped to the wall by the host station and nearly impossible to see from the location they ask you to stand to wait to be seated.) Instead of comping us for the error, he shrugged his shoulders and walked away. With our family and guests standing there gathering to leave, we were not going to start an argument, but that's just not good customer service. The food- is, well, not great. It's not terrible, but for a $60 pizza meal (including two beers), my standards are reasonable. Lukewarm pizza, decent variety and a nice salad bar. They did do a nice pour on our beers, so kudos for that. Overall, I'm not rushing back anytime soon as there are plenty of options for a great dinner in Bloomington. It's hard to really stand out these days in any business, but for those that seem to not actually want to build a good experience for customers, my dollars are better spent elsewhere.
