  My husband and I went today for their Thanksgiving buffet - not good. Tossed salad decent. Canned corn, canned green beans, frozen broccoli. Rolls were so dry they were almost stale. Roast pork okay, turkey okay but no cranberry sauce offered! The turkey gravy was extremely watery. Mashed potatoes the consistency of Cream of Wheat. Nice roasted potatoes but yams were cold and the lid covering them was broken. Both pies offered were good (pecan or pumpkin but cans of whipped cream on the table, really?), add one glass of wine. Check came to $84.00!!!! Will not return for any reason.

  I've been going to Chapman's for years and it is true that it has had a lot of ups and downs in terms of quality. We really liked their weekend brunch buffet and are disappointed that it is only on Sundays now. We have enjoyed the Thanksgiving and Easter buffets in the past though they tend to be a bit crowded; at least they don't kick you out after a certain time like so many other restaurants do on the holidays. The last time we were there for an evening meal was on a Wednesday in early October 2015 and we were shocked that we were the only people there -- insane. The food we had -- cheese board, pork, and steak -- was great though the staff was a bit over attentive given that we were the only ones there. We will definitely go back in the future.
